James Heimler, Architect, Inc. is in business to advance both our client’s and our company’s interests by providing quality and timely architectural, master planning and space planning services.

James Heimler, Architect, Inc. is an extremely energetic and quality oriented general practice architectural firm. We assemble a team of professionals specifically oriented toward each project. After 30 years in the profession of Architecture and over 19 years as President of James Heimler, Architect, Inc., I can say that this company has proven its capabilities and quality of service by continually exceeding our clients’ expectations.

Knowledge and anticipation are two key components of any design team's ability to successfully satisfy a client's needs. The energetic nature of our firm, as shown by our wide range of previous experience, requires that each member of the design team learn not only what is required to satisfy program needs, but be able to anticipate potential problems. Our clients' needs are perceived as our own and therefore program requirements or constraints become basic parameters of the project.

Our business has continued to grow and prosper throughout all the financial obstacles and governmental challenges. We have incorporated computers at all levels of our services. Our project experience has multiplied while our services have expanded. Our project locations range from Catalina to Arizona, from San Diego to Mammoth Mountain; to the states of Idaho and Washington, and to Shanghai, China. We are carrying on our goals of designing for an environmentally sustainable future. We are involved with passive solar homes, energy efficient office buildings and earth friendly building materials. Our continuing education never takes a rest.

Jim Heimler is a general partner in both development and property management companies which assist in providing a wider eye toward achieving a very realistic approach to our project planning and design decisions. All our energies work toward providing true value-added professional services to each and every friend we have.

None of this would have been possible without the support and confidence our community has provided through its continuously expanding referrals. We have continued to provide complete, honest, high quality, and timely architectural services. Our goals have not changed. We are here to provide innovative designs achieving your goals.

We have continued to be extremely active within our community. We are involved with the drafting of special city planning ordinances within the hillsides and urban streetscape designs, mountain trail acquisitions and maintenance, Home Owner Organizations, Affordable Housing, San Fernando Valley Chapter of the A.I.A., environmental education, and as an activist with many environmental groups.

We are always excited to get involved in a new project. Once on board we put all our energies into achieving another completed project. James Heimler personally supervises every phase of design and development for the firm's projects. From client 'program' meetings to weekly in-house and inter-office status meetings, to field observation meetings, to final punch list meetings our office facilitates the resolution of events, which may hinder or delay the smooth completion of a project.
