Our commitment to the health, safety and welfare of any project is at the forefront of our thoughts. JHAI embraces leadership, creativity, sustainability, and an integrated, “award winning” design approach. We study building design concepts, products, and the environmental concerns all working toward a greener, less toxic future. We consider the materials origin, production and installation prior to their selection, all in relation to the budget and building program. Jim Heimler is active in educating and public speaking to disseminate information on urban sustainable design concepts and social behavior. Our clients for earth friendly developments include government, corporations, and private clients. Since 1985 JHAI’s innovative designs, use of space, and quality services define the trust our clients have in us while we exceed expectations. This is the key in every facet of our services. Our efforts work toward providing true value added professional services to each and every valued client.

Knowledge and anticipation are two key components of any design team's ability to successfully satisfy a client's needs. The energetic nature of our firm, as shown by our wide range of experience, requires that each member of the design team learn not only what is required to satisfy program needs, but to be able to anticipate potential problems. Our clients' needs are perceived as our own and therefore program requirements or constraints become basic parameters of the project

With over 1,900 projects and 900 clients our project experience continues to multiply while our services have expanded. Our project locations range from Catalina to Arizona, from San Diego to Mammoth Mountain; to the states of Nevada, Idaho and Washington, and Shanghai, China. We are carrying on our goals of designing for an environmentally sustainable future. We are involved with passive solar, energy efficient projects, and earth friendly building materials. Our continuing education never takes a rest.

Jim Heimler is a consultant and past partner in both development and property management companies. This allows him to provide a wider eye toward achieving a realistic approach to our project planning and decision making for, “True Value Added” design services. Our letters of recommendation extend from government entities, insurance companies to private clients.

We have continued to be extremely active within our community. We are involved with the writing of government ordinances, community groups, Home Owner Organizations, Affordable Housing Developers, environmental education, environmental groups all as a contribution to our community.

We are always excited to get involved in a new project. Once on board we put all our energies into achieving another completed project. From client 'program' meetings to weekly in-house and inter-office status meetings, to field observation meetings, to final punch list meetings, our office facilitates the resolution of events which may hinder or delay the smooth completion of a project. We believe expeditious communication with our amazing staff keeps projects moving toward a successful completion. It is an honor to be trusted and regarded so highly.
